Peppermills, Saltmills, Wooden Pens, Bottle Stoppers, Wooden Bowls, Wooden Ornaments
Precision turnings by the hands of a
Maine Master Craftsman

I finally had some time to turn some ornaments. The ornaments that I turn are made in three pieces. The top finial, the center globe, and the bottom finial. To lessen the weight of the ornament I hollow out the inside of the globe. I don't want to weigh down the bow of your tree to much. The globe is where a lot of the design work takes place. The globes of some of the ornaments will be dyed or pierced or both. Sometimes the globe will be left plain. If burl or other highly figured wood could be called plain.
